Meet our Team

Warren Ondaje

Warren, Managing Director at AfEMA, excels in e-mobility and energy policy development across Africa. With over five years of expertise, he previously worked at Arc Ride and spearheaded policy recommendations for East Africa's vehicle regulations. A Certified Energy Manager, Warren also runs the insightful Carbon Leapfrog podcast.

Tom Courtright

Tom is AfEMA's Research Director with five years of in-depth experience in e-mobility, transportation, and renewable energy research across Africa. He's consulted for investors on market studies and advised e-mobility companies on business models. Tom's advocacy work was pivotal in shaping Kenya's e-mobility electricity tariff in 2023.

Paul Muhia

Paul, Operations Director at AfEMA, offers a rich blend of technical and business insights in energy and electric mobility. Awarded TotalEnergies Startupper of the Year 2022, Paul's contributions extend to e-bike market creation in Nairobi and instrumental roles in the Africa E-mobility Week of 2022.

Paschal Giki

Paschal, a research associate with AFEMA, specializes in e-mobility business model evaluation and supply chain assessment in Africa. With previous roles in software development and public transport data processing, Paschal offers a holistic perspective on transportation industry challenges and opportunities.

Anand Madhvani

A seasoned leader in global community-building and social change projects, Anand has a rich background spanning start-ups, international aid, and NGOs. The creator of wildlife detective novels and the 'COVID Kenya' initiative, Anand's multifaceted experience, combined with his Oxford education, positions him uniquely at the intersection of innovation, leadership, and global partnerships.

Catherine Wairimu

Catherine, based in Nairobi, is a seasoned marketing specialist known for her expertise in brand strategy. Her leadership at Tecno Mobile Kenya fueled brand growth and revenue increase. A KEMU University graduate, Catherine's forte lies in spotting market trends, executing product launches, and fostering strategic partnerships.

Linet Njeri

As a Brand and Communication Expert, Linet excels in driving strategic partnerships and broadening organizations’ influence through brand and communication strategy and implementation. With a past role at Eenovators Limited and as Brand Manager at Zenko, she led the successful Yego Biscuits launch, marking a significant sales boost. A Masters holder from the University of Nairobi, Linet blends strategy with execution.
